The Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck, which we transported from the front lines for repairs (as detailed in our December 3 post: December 3, 2023) is in the shop and our mechanic is working on it. It needs more than just a TLC. First, the engine needs to be rebuilt. The cylinder head is cracked so we ordered a new one from Poland (for about $470 CAD). We have also ordered a bunch of parts and consumables (belts, oil, filters) for an additional $400. The main pulley had to be replaced too (for another $130).

After resolving the engine issues, our mechanic will proceed with the drivetrain and electrical system, starting with the starter and power generator. We'll ensure to provide you with regular updates on the progress of these essential repairs. Stay tuned for further details!
